It's .NET but you'd never know
We've refused to utilise any of the client side ASP.NET features due to their overhead and non support of web standards. The .NET Framework was definitely our choice for server side technology however.

Boss has run on Linux
With built in support for MySql and a proof of concept compiling of Boss with the Mono framework, we were able to achieve an instance running on Apache. Not currently supported but definitely planned for the future.
